Six employees received the most prestigious awards presented by Gaston County Schools during the Evening of Excellence ceremony. 

Five outstanding educators are in the running to be named the Gaston County Teacher of the Year for 2026-2027.

SUN Bucks is a program from the U.S. Department of Agriculture that helps families buy groceries during the summer months when school is out. Eligible families will receive a one-time payment of $120 per child on a debit-like card. The card can be used to purchase nutritious food during the summer months when schools are out.
